The PCB will not force its players to tour England later this summer.

Discussions with the ECB over a proposed three-Test and three-T20I trip in August continue, and senior figures from both governing bodies took part in a video conference on Friday, where logistics and health and safety measures were outlined.

In a move that echoes West Indies’ stance on their prospective visit earlier in the summer, Pakistan will not compel anyone to be part of the touring party.

“This is a matter of life and death, it’s a matter of health, it’s a personal matter and certainly the choice will be there for players,” PCB chief executive Wasim Khan told The Cricketer as part of a special report on the impact of the coronavirus on English - which is published today.

“We won’t be forcing players to travel. We’ll be respecting whether they want to travel or not: they will obviously want to consult with their families, which is totally understandable.

“It won’t be held against them and we will respect whichever decision they decide to make.”

Pakistan cricket team tours England 2020

It was scheduled that Pakistan cricket team have a tour to England in August and September 2020 to play three T-20 International and three Test matches.

Before the tour of England , Pakistan cricket team was scheduled to play two T-20I matches in Ireland and three One Day International (ODI) matches in Netherlands. But in April 2020, these matches are postponed after the Dutch government announced that all the events (sports and cultural) are within the country. There sports and cultural events are banned until 1 September 2020 due to COVID-19. Because of COVID-19, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) were looking to host the test matches in bio-secure environment.

Are the matches are more important than people's life? That why we suggest to postponed this tour of pakistan to England and save people lives.

Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a 20-metre (22-yard) pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The game is adjudicated by two umpires, aided by a third umpire and match referee in international matches. They communicate with two off-field scorers who record the match's statistical information.

There are various formats ranging from Twenty20, played over a few hours with each team batting for a single innings of 20 overs, to Test matches, played over five days with unlimited overs and the teams each batting for two innings of unlimited length. Traditionally cricketers play in all-white kit, but in limited overs cricket they wear club or team colours.
